Anyone making donations to PAC will now receive a tax deductible receipt and get a break on their income taxes. As a result of PAC's association with AACC, we now have access to its charitable branch, the Avian Preservation Foundation. Here is how it's done:

• Donations of any amount will qualify for a tax deductible charitable receipt.
  
  
• Donations of over $100.00 will also put the donors on the "Corporate Sponsors" list on PAC's website.
  
  
• Cheques should be made payable to the "Avian Preservation Foundation,"
  c/o Doreen Albion, 3988 Hopesmore Road, Victoria, B.C. V8N 6A3.
  (Make sure your full name and address is included with the donation.)
  
  
• Mark on your cheque whether the donation is to be made to PAC or to AACC.
  
  
• Donations may also be sent to PAC Treasurer, Mark Koenig at Exotic Wings & Pet Things, 3561 Lobsinger Line, St. Clements, Ontario N0B 2M0, and he will forward them to Doreen.
  
  
• Doreen will record the donations and she will send official receipts directly to the donors.
  
  
• Doreen will also send Mark a copy of the receipts for his records.
  
  
• AACC will periodically make a grant to PAC of all donations made to its credit.
  

Both AACC and PAC are also raising funds for a "Legislation War Chest" to fight unfair and unreasonable laws that affect aviculture. Donations specifically marked for the "War Chest" will go into a separate fund to be used only for that purpose. These funds will be used to pay expenses such as printing and copying costs, postage, travel and similar expenses. Charitable receipts cannot be issued for these donations.

Everyone is encouraged to contact as many people, clubs and businesses as possible for donations and to recruit other fund raisers to help with this. This cannot be seen just as a one shot deal; today we are dealing with the Manitoba problem but we need ongoing funding for future activities as well.
