Spirit of Aviculture Award

The PAC - Spirit of Aviculture Award was introduced at the Canadian Parrot Convention in October 2004. The purpose of this award is to honour and officially recognize individuals who have made a significant contribution to Canadian Aviculture. Nominations for recipients of this award can be submitted any time during the year directly to any PAC Executive member.

2004 Recipient - Christopher Holoboff
For his dedication to preserve and protect Canadian Aviculture by fighting restrictive legislation across Canada. Chris holds various executive positions with AACC and PAC and is also a CITIES representative for these organizations.

Aviculture: The Worldwide hobby of keeping and breeding numerous species of wild birds in captivity in order to maintain their normal numerical status in nature with a view to forestalling their extinction by supplying aviary raised stock.                                                                              Jean Delacour
